Running vs. soccer can be a difficult decision, especially when you like having a lot of attention drawn to you. Not sure exactly if that's the case here, but there are many examples of that. There could also be a peer pressure aspect if the soccer team feels it "needs" you.
Seems like State and her don't get along too well... DNF in cross her freshman year, and now an apparent no-show (not even listed as "DNF" in the results) in her first year of track as a sophomore.
She must like soccer more than track. It's too bad since she could have had a good chance of breaking the state record in the 3200 from 1986.
