i was the only one in the class who got the obvious joke, i laughed for a good five minutes.
he promptly kicked threw an eraser at me and kicked me out of class

Every fall and every spring for thirty years we talked kids and running.
The Coach had all three of my kids.

The last conversation was two weeks ago at the end of the NE - THS
meet. He came over as the 3000 started and wanted me to watch his
'good' young runner. So we chatted as Michael led Kyle around at a
good clip. I said "Hey, you've got another young talent here, that means
you've got to coach several more years".

He just kind of smiled and nodded ......... "Yup".

He will not be forgotten, and the stories will never end.
