Bowerman AC 5k

This year we are branching out as a club and doing our first official race. Of course we've been doing a free to enter XC series out at the campus for years, but the Bowerman AC 5k will be an official race and part of the USATF Oregon Grand Prix road race series.

The Race will be 7pm on Sunday July 25th, and we'll have a rock and roll band at the finish and a beer garden.

Today I measured out the course. It's going to be a fast one. It's almost two loops of the inner ring road a Nike. It has one small hill on each lap but not too steep and the last quarter mile is all down hill!

We also filmed a (hopefully!) funny promo video with Alan Webb today. He was great - we just gave him a rough idea and he adlibbed the rest and nailed it first take. You can see Alan's promo video at www.bowermanac.com
