Another week, and once again Southern Illinois throwers produce the top marks. Jeneva McCall (Southern Illinois) did not throw as far as she has earlier this month, but still had the best mark of the weekend at 21.47m. Her teammate J.C. Lambert (Southern Illinois) had the top men's mark of the weekend. Also impressive on the women's side was a one-meter personal best by Amashi-Ali Kendall (Lousiville), another best by Beth Rohl (Michigan State), a season's best by Ida Storm (UCLA). Erin Atkinson (Baylor) also made her debut for the Baylor Bears with a personal ebst of 20.59m. She threw for Southern Illinois last year and was one of the top freshman in the nation.

On the men's side, the action was in Indiana where a handful of men were over 20 meters and three Michigan State throwers threw 20.36m or better. However, the top collegiate throwers was Richard Quick (Ashland), who narrowly lost to former Belmont thrower Joe Frye.

As the season is finally fully underway, we will be raising the standards for our weekly recaps to at least 19.50m next week.
