The greater Vancouver / Camas area conferences of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul cordially invite you to join us in our 2nd Annual Vancouver / Camas FRIENDS OF THE POOR 5K Walk / Run on Saturday, September 20th, 2014.

Collectively we provided food, clothing and shelter as well as many other types of support to more than 85 thousand people in need in the greater Vancouver / Camas area last year. The need is growing and we are asking for your help. So please join us – put together a team!

To sign uo go to: http://www.svdpusa.net/fop/
Then, use the dropdown under Walkers (this is for runners also) and select Become a Walker.
It then asks you to Pick a State, so select Washington

You are now at Step One. Enter all of the information indicated with a red asterisk.
When you get to "goal amount" enter the registration amount of $25 or any other amount you wish to raise/donate.

You will then check the waiver box, enter the spam code, and select Add Walker

Then you will have your payment options.

Dear , Evergreen H.S. Cross Country Team,

St. Vincent de Paul is asking for your help and support toward The Vancouver/Camas St. Vincent de Paul 5K Walk/Run for the Poor. We are asking you to help promote the event by assigning a person within your organization to champion the cause, post the event flyer, and form a team.

Collectively the Conferences of Vancouver, Camas and Brush Prairie provide assistance of food, clothing, rent and utility aid, as well as children back to school clothes, children Christmas gifts, and Thanksgiving & Christmas family dinner boxes, to over 87,000 residents in Clark County.

This has all been accomplished with over 165 dedicated volunteers and only 2 ½ paid staff. This is the Gospel in practice.

Matthew 25:34 “Then the King will say to those at his right hand, `Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35) for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36) I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me...”

Please help to support our efforts to raise $30,000 to help sustain our outreach to the poor of Clark County.
