Who I Am...

I ran sprints for Mounds View high school (Minnesota) where I had a great four years. Now I am a freshman at Hamline University (Minnesota) where I had a great first season, taking third in the open 200 and helping my relays place well in the MIAC championships.

Track and field is all about bonding with a team and having the chance to compete to your greatest ability. I like to go into every race ready to have fun, it reduces the amount of stress and I find it keeps me running relaxed.

I also enjoy nordic skiing and a good game of ultimate.

Best memories from track and field:

true team state champs my junior and senior year

state champs my senior year

4x200 state champ

running 4x1 and sprint medley at the drake relays

My team in college do them every other week, they are a great work out to have a mix of speed and cardio. I really enjoy speed makers though slowing and speeding up can be hard on the body.

Do the 350 "speed-makers" live up to their name? Are they effective in doing so? I might try these out later on if they are.  As you'll see in my "Who I am" section, I'm a really pissed off guy right now! I'm running off-the-wall horrible times for the 2 and 4. I REALLY want to get faster in these because I blow at distance too. Anu suggestions for my training would be great!
