My name is James O'Brien, although I commonly go by Jimmy. I currently run for the Indiana Invaders. Prior to the Invaders I ran for Ohio Northern University, a small division III college in Ada, Ohio. I enjoyed much success during at Northern lowering my 800 pr from 1:52.74 to 1:48.45. I was All-American 10 times in CC and track and won three national championships in the 800.

After my success in college I made the decision to continue running competitively. I relocated here in Indianapolis with the goal of becoming a top US runner and a dream of competing with the best in the world. I run because I love to race. I'm extremely competitive and I hate to lose. The day I'm no longer competitive will probably be the day I'm done running.
