| Who I Am...I threw for Western Washington University in Bellingham for a five year period. My career highlights include being a team captain for a three year period. Two top five finishes in our conference championships in both the Discus and Hammer. PRs include 145 in the Discus, 155 in the Hammer, 48 in the Weight. It was also during this time where I meet my wife who was a pole vaulter at Western. Currently I am the assistant Throws coach at Western entering my fifth season. Primarily working with the Hammer throwers and Discus throwers. Lex Kaligis takes on the Shot-put and Discus. Currently my coaching highlights have been a 189 Hammer thrower (Soph.), three 150+ Discus throwers, and a couple of 140 Hammer throwers. I have a B.A. in History and a Masters in Teaching. I also have a newborn Daughter (Olivia)
Latest Blog UpdateComments (0) Last Updated: Feb 28 2011, 09:38 PM Indoor Season HMMMMFirst off let me say this as a squad we did awesome the whole season. So when the Indoor Conference came around we felt we were in a great position (however if you were to look at the results it seemed that so was everyone else). Needless to say our throwers felt that they should have done better. Still we had a lot of season best marks at our Conference meet so I can not complain, plus we had several life time best. One was for my out going senior Bryant how always seemed to do great when it counted the most. Gilb and Nelly the two sophomores had PB's in the shot-put coming with in inches of breaking the 50 ft. mark, and my Freshmen Lindsey throw the weight really well breaking her own school recorded that she set the week before by 4 ft. (going 48ft.) So we begin outdoor this week with our first Comp. down at UPS, we had an exceptional indoor season so we will have to see how outdoor goes and if we can continue the same trend. On a sad note our head throws coach suffered a heart attack last Sunday. He is doing well yet no time on Lex’s return. His wish is for a speedy recover in your prayers. | Latest BlogsIndoor Season HMMMM Feb 28 2011, 09:38 PM It's been Awhile Feb 2 2011, 06:47 PM Finishing the Indoor season Feb 22 2010, 04:07 AM Big WWU Welcome TOO Dec 16 2009, 08:26 PM Upcoming Indoor Season Dec 16 2009, 08:16 PM VideosWall - 0 followers
