I have been playing the guitar since I was 8 years old, and I have always been a good runner since I could remember racing in school. Once I was Athlete of the year. On the football field, I had great pursue on defense, my coach told me. My coach who played for The Bears in the 1960's. and who was also my wrestling coach. I was undefeated in my 8th grade year in wrestling, and set the 880 yard record that same year. Rudy Chapa was two years ahead of me in high school. By the time I decided to stop playing football and wrestling, Rudy Chapa had left to Oregon. I used to join Rudy Chapa and the Hammond High School cross country and track team for Sunday morning runs in 10th grade because one of my younger brothers was on the Hammond High School cross country team his freshman year. Now I enjoy spending time with my wife, Janet and three daughters, Miranda, Nadine and Selena. Nadine is the runner of the three daughters, and she is holding a 4.1 or 4.2 grade average going into her junior year at Blaine High School in Minnesota. There are a lot of good runners in Minnesota, from High School to College to all ages. A great State to live for runners except the winters can be harsh sometimes.
