Who I Am...well my name is janna langrell and i love running. i ran track since i was in elementry school. its priority for me was up and down, never knowing quite what i wanted. i played club soccer for 6-7 years thinking i was complete when i truely wasnt. i ran track freshman year and made varsity easily. i never really attended practices because i was so wrapped in club soccer it was my life and track just was there to keep me in shape. my sophmore year i ran cross country and track and made varsity for both all while being in club and i had made varsity soccer as a freshman as well. im going to be a junior and the year looks great already. a shock to many people was i quit club soccer (i still play high school) i mainly quit because i wasnt getting the satisfaction from it i used to get. i did not quit because of lack of playing time i maybe sat 5-10 minutes the whole game(even though i could last the whole game) for those of you who dont know club rankings its basically bronze, silver, silver elite, gold, premier(which is the highest you can get before national). my team was ranked gold and we had a good chance at going premier the next season but i quit because of stress, i needed to focus on grades(because im going to have all A.P. and honors) and running has begun to take over my life, which i don't mind at all. comment me for any questions you may have (: | Wall - 0 followers

Latest Blog UpdateComments (0) Last Updated: May 26 2010, 02:25 AM updatewellll hello again its been a while since i was on here...hmm well we came in third in our league...kinda dissapointing but it was okay in the end. well i made many new friends in track as always and many from different schools as well. in my league we have tough competition for distance especially the girls. i want to give credit to colony high school they have an amazing distance team and they are beasts! haha well at league finals i decided not to run the 1600 and focus on my 800 because i thought i would be able to qualify for cif easier in the 800 than the mile. well unfortuantely i came in fourth in my race at finals and they only take the top 3... :/ bummer...my time to meet in order to qualify was a 2:34 and i ran a 2:23 that is my new pr. i was kind of upset that i lost by less than a second but my coaches reminded me that the wind at colony was bad and all three girls ahead of me were colony who were proably used to the wind. but on a brighter side we made it to cif for the girls 4x400 team we went from a 4:30 i believe to a 4:15 (i ran a 61 with only a week of sprinting training...lol) and i was the fastest on our team which consists of 2 sprinters who are both sophmores 1 distance runner(me) who is a sophmore and a mid distance/jumper who is a freshman....so it was an improvement but the compition for division 2 is intense. with cory carter (sorry if i spelled her name wrong) in our heat it was very challenging. although i must admit our teams were talking before the race and she is very nice (: i believe this is why i enjoy track and cross country so much! you meet very interesting people, people who are very good at what they do but still down to earth and humble! well i suppose ill write again when i have something interesting to say (: ~janna | Latest Blogsupdate May 26 2010, 02:25 AM need your opinion Mar 30 2010, 02:50 AM my third track meet Mar 14 2010, 05:15 PM second track meet Mar 7 2010, 07:09 PM my first track meet!!! Feb 14 2010, 05:46 PM fun stuff/quotes-run to win. all athletes are disciplined in their training. they do it to win a prize that will fade awa, but we do it for an eternal prize. so i run with a purpose in every step. ~ 1 corinthians 9:24-26 -the truth is you can always go faster...the truth hurts. -if there is one thing cross country has taught me its NEVER NEVER GIVE UP -my personal fav quote live laugh love forever...its in basque on my profile (: -my bff's quote DBATS: dont be afraid to shine |
