Race Schedule

7:30am-8:45am - Race Day Registration
9:00am - 5K Run/Walk
9:30am - LEAD finish line social starts
10:30am - Awards Ceremony



Event Description

Join us for a springtime celebration in scenic Alton Baker Park for a run or walk that supports a great cause in our community.


Distance

This event features a 5K (3.1 mile) run or walk.

Location
Alton Baker Park - Eugene, Oregon.

Directions
In Eugene, take Coburg Road to Martin Luther King Blvd, turn east to Country Club Road, turn south and then immediately into the park.


Course

The 5K event is flat, fast and scenic, starting and finishing near the pavilions. The courses follow park roads and bike paths through the park, along the Willamette River, crossing the Autzen and Defazio Bridges. Click here for a COURSE MAP.


Entry Fees

$10 without shirt, $15 with a t-shirt before race day. On race day, add $3.


Registration

Entry forms will be available soon. By mail, send completed entry form and payment to: LEADership Dash, P.O. Box 11645, Eugene, OR, 97440. Click here to REGISTER FOR THIS RACE. Online registration will close at 5pm on Thursday, April 24.


Awards

The top three overall male and female finishers and first male and female finisher in each age group will receive awards.


Age Groups
10 & Under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over.


Event Benefit

All proceeds from the event will benefit LEAD. LEAD's mission is to develop the leadership skills of low-income teens, empowering them to address community problems and change the world. We offer a leadership development program currently serving 200 low-income, multicultural and/or at-risk teens per year, ages 12-17, in Lane County, Oregon. We welcome young people of all abilities, races, religions and sexual orientation. For more information, please log onto: LEAD.


Be A LEADership Champion
If you'd rather not run or walk, you can still support LEAD. With a donation of $20, you will get a t-shirt and the satisfaction of empowering teens in our community.


Team Competition
Teams will be scored and awarded based on the number of registered team members, competing for different prizes in each category. The top team in the Fraternity, Sorority and Business categories will receive awards.
