Welcome to the 2nd annual Midwest Distance Festival
The 2013 edition of the Midwest Distance Festival will be held on the campus of Benedictine University in Lisle, IL.

The Midwest Distance Festival gives the student athlete a chance to run against some of the elite runners in the Midwest and the country. The meet will be held on June 8 which is a Saturday night. The meet is after your state meet and a week before the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in North Carolina. The Midwest Distance Festival can be a meet to achieve a personal best or a tune up for the following week’s national meet.
The meet will consist of the following events:
BOYS
800m
1 Mile Run
1 Mile Run (Freshman)
2 Mile Run
2000m Steeplechase
GIRLS
800m
1 Mile Run
2 Mile Run
There will also be a community 5k run that will be held before the start of the meet.
Top 3 Medals will be awarded in all events. EVERY race will have a rabbit with the exception of the community 5k run.
MEET ENTRY STANDARDS
Meet Registration will open on May 1, 2013. Only performances that have been achieved from January 1, 2013 forward will be accepted.
Entry fee for all events will be $20. This will be for all events.
LODGING & AREA INFORMATION
The campus of Benedictine University is centrally located in the western suburbs of Chicago. Benedictine University is only 30-40 minutes from both of Chicago’s major airports O’Hare International and Midway
Airport. Lisle is only 35 minutes from downtown Chicago.
The Midwest Distance Festival is proud to announce that the LISLE-NAPERVILLE Hilton will be the official meet hotel.
There are special rates that the Lisle-Naperville Hilton will be offering for participants and their families that will be attending the Midwest Distance Festival. Those rates will be available until May 23 or until the block of rooms that are reserved are sold out.
