NXN Regional Info

No refs, no timeouts, no judges, no room for error. Out here, it's just you, your rivals, and the dirt.

Run tough, or run and hide cause on 11/15/08 the NXN Regional Championships will be live in your hood, Terre Haute, IN. Any and all high school harriers are invited to compete as an individaul or as a team. In addition to crowning regional champions, the NXN Regional Championships is your only pass to get to Portland. And it aint free. It will cost months of summer training, hours of tempo runs, miles of strides, and a performance of a lifetime when it counts.

The NXN Regional Championships serve as the qualifying system for Nike Cross Nationals held in Portland, OR on December 6, 2008. The top two teams from and top five individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the National meet. In addition, four at large teams nationally will also be selected to compete using these guidelines.

Nike Cross Nationals Midwest Regional.
Harriers of the Midwest collide to battle for the title of "Best of the Midwest". The victors will continue to Portland in December for the big dance Nike Cross Nationals.

8:00am Gates to Course open to all competitors & spectators
9:00am - 11:30am Packet Pick-up for all coaches and individuals. Packets must be picked up within this time frame!
11:52am National Anthem
12:00noon Girls Freshman/Sophomore Race
12:30pm Boys Freshman/Sophomore & Varsity Open Race
***Will be scored as two different races***
1:15pm Girls Championship Race
2:00pm Boys Championship Race
2:45pm Awards
3:15pm NXN National sign-up for teams and individuals who have qualified for the national championships.

***ALL RACE DISTANCES FOR BOYS & GIRLS WILL BE 5000 METER

DIRECTIONS TO RACE COURSE
Nothing’s worse than getting lost on race morning. Know where to go! Check out directions below.

From U.S. 41:
Take I-70 east 5.0 miles to the S.R. 46 exit. At the S.R 46 exit from I-70, proceed north on S.R. 46 to S.R. 42. Proceed east on S.R. 42 past Hulman International Airport to Swalls Road and proceed east on Swalls Road to the entrance. Travel time from U.S. 41 to the course is approximately 15-17 minutes.

Alternate entrance:
Proceed east on S.R. 42 past Hulman International Airport and follow S.R. 42 beyond Swalls Road to Tabertown Road. At Tabertown Road, proceed north to the entrance.
