I started running when I was in my early 30s and still run at 55. When my children were young, they came to my roadraces--now I am still attending track meets, which are now collegiate level. All four of my children are national champions in track and field, so you can figure that I have been to may meets at many levels. Someday I hope to attend an Olympic meet watching my son(s). Some of the greatest days in my life were spent in the grandstands cheering on a winning race--many of them. I have been waved to from the field many times, making me feel very important. We have reason to believe that our presence at some important meets have sometimes made the difference between a championship and a loss. One winter, we arrived late during a New England snowstorm, missing the first day of a losing decathlon--only to find it turn around the second day. A "pole valut first" was done at an indoor heptagonal championship in 2006--because we were there. Anyway, I find myself running every race and breathing every breath, because I am a mom--a very proud one. Latest Blog UpdateNo Blog found
