2010 USATF-OREGON ROAD RACE GRAND PRIX CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

Partnering with Road Runner Sports, the 2010 USATF-Oregon Road Race Grand Prix Championship Series offers exciting changes and spectacular events

Each Grand Prix race will award prize money as a USATF-Oregon Road Championship event

Over $7,000 is to be awarded throughout the Series

Overall men's and women's cumulative winners will receive a generous gift from Road Runner Sports

Any runner who participates and completes ALL five Grand Prix races will receive the prestigious “Iron Athlete Award ”

There are no cross country races associated with this year's Grand Prix.

In order to participate in the Grand Prix Series, you must be a 2010 member of the Oregon Association of USATF, so apply for your membership today at www.usatf-oregon.org

2010 USATF-Oregon Road Race Grand Prix Rules

1. You must be a 2010 member of the Oregon Association of USA Track & Field. Athletes can register online at www.usatf-oregon.org, or call Harry Simonis at (541) 504-1077.

2. Masters scoring will be age-graded to give all competitors a chance to race as evenly as possible.

3. Prize money from USATF-Oregon will be distributed to USATF-Oregon members on top of any existing prize purse for the follwoing races: Red Lizard 5M, Pear Blossom 10M, Eugene 1/2 Marathon, and Bowerman AC 5K.

4. The Butte to Butte 10k prize purse will be distributed by the organizing committee of the Butte to Butte 10k. Prize money will be award to the top finishers regardless of USATF-Oregon affiliation. There will be no USATF-Oregon payout for this race. But if you wish to qualify for the Grand Prix Ironperson award you must be a USATF-Oregon member.
