Road race schedules at: Who Are We...The Oregon Track Club Masters is a division of the Oregon Track Club. We exist to organize and conduct a full range of activities for master (ages 40 and up) and sub-master (ages 30-39) athletes who otherwise would not have the opportunity to enjoy the full benefits of participating in running, racewalking, and track and field in the Eugene-Springfield area. Each year, we put on the Hayward Classic, one of the premier masters track meets in the country. In addition we host a variety of athletic, social, and educational events throughout the year. | Highlights2012 TRACK AND FIELD OFFICIALS CERTIFICATION - If you are interested in becoming a track and field offical, this is your chance! Training is coming up Saturday, January 28, 2012. Certification for existing officials is good through 2012, but now is a good time to improve your skills. Click here for full information.
Friday, January 13, 2011, 5:30 PM Social, 6:30 PM Dinner Great food, social time, club awards, and special guest speaker Harry Marra. Harry is the multi-events coach for the University of Oregon and OTC Elite, with impressive credentials that include coaching Ashton Eaton and Brianne Theisen. The deadline for sending in an RSVP has passed.
2012 HAYWARD CLASSIC DATES ANNOUNCED! - The next Hayward Classic will take place July 14th and 15th, 2012. The meet has moved back to a 2 day meet, and is being held in conjuction with the Track City Classic, one of the premier youth track meets. More details to follow soon!
OTCM CROSS COUNTRY TEAM - The OTCM fielded a cross country team at 3 events this fall. A big thank you to Ken Vendley for putting the team together! USATF Oregon XC Championships - October 19th - 3rd Place - The OTCM team finished 3rd behind two Nike teams. Running for OTCM where Orestes Gutierrez, Ken Vendley, Donald Gallogly, David Engstrom, and Kelly Woodke. Stumptown XC - November 12th - 1st Place - The team of Pat Wagner, Ken Sinclair, Larry Coxe, Chris Yorges, and Ken Vendley outdistanced TRL Masters and NAC Masters to win the Stumptown Cross Country race at Klock Farms. USATF National Club XC Championships - December 10th - 16th Place - The OTCM team made the trip up to Seattle to the extremely competitive National Club Championships. The team of Pat Wagner, Ken Vendley, David Engstrom, Ken Sinclair, Don Gallogly, and Larry Coxe placed a solid 16th. Everett Whiteside ran as an individual representing OTCM, and was our top individual finisher at 9th in the 40-44 age group with an impressive 33:22 for 10K.
OTC MASTERS COACHED TUESDAY WORKOUTS - Join us for our Tuesday evening workouts, coached by Jeff Sather. The group currently meets at 5:00 PM (warmed up and ready to go) at the parking lot between the South Eugene track and the Amazon trail. Workouts typically consists of some mixture of tempo and speed maintenance. These workouts are free to club members!
