Vallery Korir of Washington State won the women's 3,000 meters in 9:51.38. 

Oregon's Sabrina Southerland, the NCAA indoor champion in the 800 meters, competed for the first time at Hayward Field in a pouring rain. She placed eighth in the women's 1,500 (4:34.60) and later ran a leg on the Ducks' winning 4x400 relay.

Venessa D'Arpino of Oregon ran a wind-aided 11.33 (4.9w) and a wind legal 23.45 to win both the 100 and 200 for the Ducks at Hayward Field in her outdoor debut for the team. 

Shae Anderson celebrated her 19th birthday with her first race as an Oregon Duck at Hayward Field. She finished third in the 200 meters (23.82) and said it was the first time she had ever competed in the rain.

Brenna Porter of BYU ran a time of 58.83 in the pouring rain to win the 400-meter hurdles at Hayward Field.

James West of Oregon ran 3:48.92 for second place in the 1,500 meters at Hayward Field.
