My name is Max Zemtsov. I am going to be a Junior at Woodburn High School. A recent trip to the Paulina Running Camp prompted me to update my profile, so here we go.

I started running as a freshman because Cameron Turner called me and asked me to come out to summer practices. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. During the early days I wanted to quit many times, but here I am two years later and loving the sport. The last two years haven't been the greatest for me as far as personal achievement goes and as a team we weren't doing much better. I think these upcoming Cross Country and Track seasons are going to be big break-throughs for both myself and the Woodburn team. I think our school has a lot of talent that is finally starting to peak. Most of us had never ran before starting under Sean and Cam and so it has taken a while for us to see the results of our hard work. I have never felt in better shape than I do right now and I see that most of my team has reached high-points in their fitness as well. I hope we can carry that over into the coming season and show the other teams in our Districts that Woodburn is not only a soccer power house.
