XC Shoes

What would be a good shoe in your opinion that you've tried that would be a good shoe for cross country for about 40+miles a week for mostly road and barkmulch runs?

Who I Am...

Hello, I am Kyle Ruhlin. I am a up coming Senior at Thurston High School. I love
Running! Its my thing. I keep good grades with the college cources I have.
I run all year round. With brakes in between of course. I can't wait to run
for a college!! I really would love to go to University of Oregon, but they have
really high standereds for runners, I might go to Northwest Christian University. But
we'll see what happens after my senior year. It should be amazing.
Its summer, so I'm training hard for Cross Country season! I'm going to steens
and also another camp, along with running everyday! And curcits of course! But I'm hoping
to go sub 15:30 for the 5k, I could of broke 16min last year, just never had the race for it. That's
the bummer of XC though. I hope running goes well for you all and I hope to see you around,
its not hard in a lovly community like Track Town Oregon.

Quotes

“The only good race pace is suicide pace, and today looks like a good day to die.”-Prefontaine

"To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift"

-Prefontaine

"Some people create with words or with music or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, 'I've never seen anyone run like that before.' It's more than just a race, it's a style. It's doing something better than anyone else. It's being creative."

-Prefontaine

"Bill Bowerman was, and is, and ever shall be a generous, ornery, profane, beatific, unyielding, antic, impenetrably complex Oregon original. As a freshman, I found him deeply disturbing. Once he bet me a case of Nutrament that I couldn't break 2.00 for the 880 on a freezing Saturday morning. I ran with control, hitting the 440 in 60. I could feel myself accelerating in the last lap. Near the finish I knew I'd done it. I slowed and turned, gasping to hear the time. "2.00,3" he said. "Good try." I leaped on him, screaming made insane with outrage. He allowed me to wrestle the watch away from him. It read 1.56,6."

-Kenny Moore

"Nothing compares to puting your ass on the line"

-Cantrall

"You have Crosby and Logan in your race...Chase them"

-Cantrall

"I'm taking you, you know why?, because your a Gamer"

-Cantrall

I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stilled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time

Damn, so it's been over a year since I've been on my Runnerspace and I just thought today was a good day to look back on all my stuff. This is when I saw that you had left me a post and I feel dearly bad about not replying any sooner. Well, good timing though because I just started my Track Season right now and the message fits perfectly. I hope everything is good with you and I hope to hear from you again. -Lili-

Hey bud.. Dont even for a second feel bad. I did hear about what happened.. myself and all the team mates I ran with had a phone tree, so we knew the day it happened. i know he knew how much I appreciated and love him.. Its okay. I just want you to know that your team has so many people be hind it. All of us alumni want to do anything we can to help you and your team in this horrible time. I came back to eugene early from Montana so that I wouldnt miss the funeral. So YES I will buy four T-shirts from you. One XL and two small and one medium. How is Nick holding up? You guys do what he say, he learned from the very very best! And if you need anything please feel free to ask me. God bless you bud, and stay strong.. "Put your whole self into it".
