Who I Am...

Hi! My welcome to my runnerspace page.  My name is Anna Gomes, and I am a 27 year old runner from Greenville/Spartanburg, SC. I have been running in road races and various triathlons for about 12 years, but involved in various sports throughout my childhood and teenage years.  My husband David and I met with a shared passion for RUNNING. We are both members of the Greenville Track Club and also race for David's company, Fluour in Corporate Shield events.  I race all distances but prefer the half and full marathon.  I enjoy trail running, hiking, nature, reading and wine as well.  I am a registered nurse and work with Alzheheimers and Dementia patients. My husband and I both train hard and usually have a race coming up.  I hope to use this site to connect to other runners, learn, and give and receive motivation, advice, and workouts to assist me in becoming the best runner can.  You only live once! LONGER STRONGER!  Wink

I love running all the time, but summertime mornings are most likely my favorite.  It gets humid in SC, but the mornings before sunrise is usually such a warm but purely inspiring time to run.  I just got back from one of the best trips of my...

We all know the feeling of how good it feels to run solo--in the zone--in your own thoughts.  Just you, your body, nature, sweat dripping, and the in and out of your breath as you attack each hill. You can write a novel of thoughts- stream of cons...

Good morning! Just finished a 4 mile tempo run after long run yesterday 16 miler and 8 miler on Saturday.  Needless to say my legs weren't fresh, but running on flats in the cool morning air felt good once I got into the short run.  The lon...
