Who I Am...

Wowzers!!!! I have't been on this thing in FOREVER!! So, I'm going to start fresh. :D My name is Lili and I love to run. I will never stop running unless I loose my legs. I run through injuries and pain and all my friends call me a Masochist. lol I am 18 and a Senior. I can't believe my highschool years are coming to an end although college life seems a lot more fun. (I hope I get to run in College.)
Well, I've ran a lot of races and set a lot of PR's but my goal is to get atleast one in every race and I have been fulffilling that goal. That goes to show me that even if it's by a second I am improving as I go on.

To answer your one-question blog, yes you should have designated complete-rest day where you do NOTHING at all related to running.

My philosophy on mileage for 1600/800 runners is that it should be less per week than XC runners but should be run at a faster pace. For example, an easy run for a long distance (5K/10K) runner would probably consist of 8 miles at about 7 minute pace while that for a middle distancer would be something like 5 miles at 6:30 pace.
