5K PR!!!!!

I ran the third 5k of my life today and I think I did pretty well. the RNS Run in Atlantic City, NJ benefits cancer and heart patients at a variety of up and down the jersey shore.

I got off to a rough start, still not used to the whole running in a crowd thing. Stumbled a few times while weaving in and out of the slower people that started in front of me. Once I found some open ground I really got into a good groove.

I ended up starting my kick late because I didn't rememebr to look at landmarks on the first half of the out and back course. I ended up not going until I could see the cones, maybe 300 or so meters out.

I ended up crossing the line at 28:30. Knocking another almost 2 minutes off of my previous PR from mothers day.

I can't wait until the next one. I think my training is right pace to achieve my marathon goal at Disney in January.
