\nOverall state record 8:57.07 boys 3200 for Richfield jr Obsa Ali, leading 3 under 9:00, 6 under 9:04, and 9 under 9:10.

\n2nd Stillwater frosh Eli Krahn 8:58.67 (#2 frosh a-t behind Lukas Verzbicas), 3rd Chaska soph Joey Duerr 8:59.03.

\nSix of top 9 were non-seniors!

\nStillwater had 3 under 9:10 and the 2nd and 3rd have actually run a few seconds faster in their section meet.

\nYeah, everyone in MN who follows HS distance running is pretty psyched about that race! Important distinction to make though- it was an all-time state MEET record, but not an all-time state record. Obsa Ali is now #6 on the all-time list. Same case for several others noted in the highlights on this site as setting all-time records- most were state meet records (still impressive none the less!) Both PV records were meet records & boys 400 was meet record. \nI was talking with one of the Shot officials after the meet, Ewen had a throw that was about a foot over the national record but she barely stepped out so it didn't count.
