\nCurious ...what is the NCAA limit in scholarships for cross country? Is it possible for a runner to get a half scholarship for cross country and a half for track...it just seems that some schools do a better job than others in stocking up on good athletes.
\nAssume numbers of scholarships are higher for women...

\nCross country and track and field are combined. If an athlete gets a scholarship of any size, it counts towards the total pot split between the teams. Generally, in a well rounded track and field program, the distance squad may get 3-4 full scholarships to use (on the men's side). Not sure of the exact numbers, but I believe a men's team fully funded has 12 scholarship, where as a women's program gets 19. Oh, and a scholarship can be used in any which way. Eight athletes could receive 1\/8 of a scholarship each and it'd count as one full scholarship.","date_added":"Nov 6th 2013, 9:35pm","nest":0,"liked":false,"member":{"wally_id":"624","email_settings":"4294967295","email":"sbush1002@gmail.com","address":"Scott-Bush","gender":"m","member_id":"1111","member_name":"Scott Bush","avatar_location":"av-1111.jpg","avatar_type":"upload","avatar":"\/\/www.runnerspace.com\/forum\/uploads\/av-1111.jpg"},"can_delete":false,"item_id":195419,"item_type":"news","pb_image":"\/\/www.runnerspace.com\/forum\/uploads\/av-1111.jpg","pb_title":"Scott Bush","pb_url":"profile.php?member_id=1111","pb_url_dns":"https:\/\/Scott-Bush.runnerspace.com\/","pb_wally_id":"624"},"905258":{"pb_id":"45736","pb_type":"members","likes":"0","parent_id":"0","pid":"905258","comment_id":"905258","member_id":"45736","comment":"Curious ...what is the NCAA limit in scholarships for cross country?
