Rest assured it was fixed before the finish.  I noticed the clock running prior to race starts throughout the meet from my vantage point above the press box while videoing these races.  In each case I wondered what you did but understand that the FinishedResults company's software works wonders for tracking multiple race times.  Rest assured the finish times were accurate.  Plus, most coaches have their own stopwatches tracking their athletes.
