I caught myself right at the beginning looking for Jen Barringer, then I remembered Simpson. She's chewing gum, relaxed, got that perfect stride you can single out in the pack from across the field. Angie B. kept her form right up to about 13 minutes and then loosened up. Only gave up 2 positions for a 5th. But all the time I'm watching Hasay. Eyes down for most of the laps. Just shuts her mind off instead of mentally laboring through a lot of laps. Good solid finish in the second pack. This was a 38.33 second PR for her. 16:16 at the Pepsi meet up in Oregon last year. 15:37.29 today. She may not have run a 5K since last year. This performance is based on the culmination of her 1500\/3K wins at the NCAA indoor last month, then sliding up into the 5K with teammate Alex Kosinski out with a back injury. This was truly an amazing field.","date_added":"Jun 9th 2012, 7:27pm","nest":0,"liked":false,"member":[],"can_delete":false,"item_id":42293,"item_type":"video","pb_image":"i\/no_avatar.gif","pb_title":"mikemather","pb_url":"profile.php?member_id=1173","pb_url_dns":"https:\/\/mikemather.runnerspace.com\/","pb_wally_id":"913"},"513503":{"pb_id":"1173","pb_type":"members","likes":"0","parent_id":"0","pid":"513503","comment_id":"513503","member_id":"1173","comment":"Written by mikemather Today, 08:50 PM

She set an NCAA DII record for the 5K. Someone told me a funny story about Neely (there are a lot of \"old guys\" like me sitting around waiting for the next race to start). She was actually born, 1990 I think, while her dad was running in the Boston Marathon! How cool is that? Now her dad is her coach.","date_added":"Jun 9th 2012, 7:27pm","nest":0,"liked":false,"member":[],"can_delete":false,"item_id":42293,"item_type":"video","pb_image":"i\/no_avatar.gif","pb_title":"mikemather","pb_url":"profile.php?member_id=1173","pb_url_dns":"https:\/\/mikemather.runnerspace.com\/","pb_wally_id":"913"}},"last_id":"513501","url":"comments.php?item_type=video&item_id=42293&item_url=gprofile.php?mgroup_id=31422"}
