NCAA Regional Qualifier: 1500m, 800m

Kerekjarto emerged on the scene in 2003 as one of C-USA's top freshman...He qualified for NCAA Regionals in the 800m and 1500m, but did not compete due a knee injury he sustained at C-USA Outdoor Championships...A top-flight middle distance runner on the Memphis track team, Kerekjarto will add depth to the cross country team this fall.

2003: (CROSS COUNTRY)-Ran a 28:33.70 at the Iona Meet of Champions...Finished 29th at the Saluki Invitational with an 8K time of 27:51.57...Finished 51st at the C-USA Championships with a time of 27:07.10.

2003: INDOOR-Won the 800m at the Indiana Hoosier Invitational with a time of 1:55.07...Placed third at the C-USA Indoor Championships in the 800m (1:55.57)...Ran a personal best time of 1:50.86 (800m) at the Arkansas Tyson Invitational...OUTDOOR-Earned a NCAA Regional qualifying time in the 1500m at the UALR Open running a 3:48.99 while placing second in the race...Won the 800m at the SEMO Gatorade Classic with a time of 1:55.59...Earned a NCAA Regional qualifying time in the 800m with a time of 1:48.61 at the Sea Ray Relays...Suffered a knee injury at the C-USA Outdoor Championships...Placed fourth in the 1500m (3:56.53) at C-USA Outdoor Championships...Did not finish the 800m race due to a knee injury...Did not compete at NCAA Mid-Eastern Regional due to knee injury...Personal best times of 1:48.61 (800m) and 3:48.99 (1500m).

PREP: Attended Csanadi Arpadski School in Budapest... He finished 6th in the Junior Outdoor European Championships in 2001 with a time of 1:49.28 in the 800m...Also played soccer, judo and karate in high school...His personal best times are 1:48.46 (800m), 3:52 (1500m)...Coached by Janos Szekeres.
