Who I Am...

I grew up and currently live in Northeast Florida. My alma mater is the University of Florida, from which I have both a bachelors and masters degree in Education. I have been teaching elementary school for the past 24 years. My passions include running, caring for the environment, animal rescue, and child welfare and education.  I have 5 dogs, a bearded dragon, and a horse.  I live in Orange Park, with my partner and my mom, who has Alzheimers Disease.

I am a newbie at running, having only begun 5 months ago, and, at 49, I find it exhilerating and quite a challenge.  I recently ran in my first 5K race, and will be running in others in the next few months.

Can't Wait Til the Next Run

I started running about 8 months ago, and am becoming an addict!  Because I'm a teacher, the first month of school has seriously cramped my running style.  It's hard to run on a regular basis, and I find myself longing for that next opportunity to run.  Anyone else feel the same way?

Which grade level did you teach? Which grade level of students do you think is the hardest to deal with?
