The third annual Eugene Women's Half Marathon will take place August 26th, 2012. The event has gotten praise as one of the best women's events in the northwest. The race will again start in downtown Eugene, do a loop around the city and end at the newly opened Inn at 5th. The race will be capped at 2500 runners and walkers and will be a fund raising platform for the American Cancer Society and the Ovarian Cancer Alliance.

"The weather, course, support and finish are some of the nicest I've seen," says event director and two time Olympian Nicole Teter, "What more could you want besides Ghirardelli chocolates, King Estate wine, a Gervais spa and free massage?"

New to the event for 2012 is a 1 mile fun run for all the dads and kids to get into the action. The 1 mile course goes through downtown Eugene and shares the same start and finish lines as the half marathoners.
