Final Results

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Christopher Newport University track and field team added five names to the program's all-time list today at the Virginia Tech Final Qualifier. This is the Captains' final meet before the NCAA National Championship meet next weekend.

Dira Hansen ran a personal best in the 800m coming in at 2:12.27. The time was a program best in the event and earned her sixth in the meet today. She finished behind three unattached runners and two from N.C. State.

Cheria Jackson finished the 200m with a time of 26.27 good for seventh on the all-time list and 11th in today's race. On the men's side Daulton Teaford came in at 22.26 placing him fourth on the all-time list with a fifth place finish at the meet today.

The men's 800m saw two names added to the all-time list. Samuel Martin's 1:55.61 puts him in fourth while Nick Hedrick's 1:57.60 puts him at eighth.
