Kipyego Claims World Lead in 1,500; Ducks Win Four - goducks.com

Jordan Hasay ran the third-fastest time in the NCAA this season (4:15.00).

EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon Track Club Elite's Sally Kipyego ran the world's fastest time in the women's 1,500 meters and Arthur Delaney, Brian Schaudt, Parker Stinson and Phyllis Francis brought home wins for the Ducks Friday at the Oregon Relays.

"It was a beautiful day, great weather," said Associate Athletic Director Vin Lananna. "It was a good mid-season test for some and a good season opener for others.
"All and all, I'm fairly pleased with the day and looking forward to a really exciting Saturday at the Oregon Relays."
At a brilliantly sunny day Historic Hayward Field before 6,718 in attendance, Kipyego and teammate Julia Lucas took charge over final 600 meters before Kipyego pulled ahead and finished in 4:08.59. Lucas was second in 4:10.75 with OTC ...
