Deer Valley senior Emily Stutesman placed third in the Division 2 girls final at the Arizona AIA State Championships at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Stutesman covered the 5-kilometer course in 18:42.7, helping Deer Valley place 13th overall. It was the third time in her career that Stutesman placed in the top six at the state championships.
