Buchanan CA won the Bob Day girls sweepstakes team title at the 37th Woodbridge Cross Country Classic with a 92-116 victory over Great Oak CA at SilverLakes Sports Complex in Norco, Calif. Corie Smith and Meagen Lowe took the top two spots for Buchanan in 15:58.4 and 15:59.3, with Sydney Fox placing 16th, Katie Nili and Amanda Dolberg finishing 53rd and 55th, Alyssa Destasio taking 67th and Victoria Nardella in 160th for the Bears, who became the first California program other than Great Oak to win the sweepstakes title since Simi Valley in 2013.
