Desert Vista seniors Deshon Toney and Marcos Figueroa took the top two spots in the Division 1 boys shot put final at the Arizona Interscholastic Association State Championships at Mesa Community College. Toney produced a personal-best 60-10.50 and Figueroa had a mark of 51-2 to give the Thunder 18 points in their pursuit of a team title.
