New Mexico junior Ednah Kurgat and freshman Weini Kelati placed seventh and 10th in the elite section of the women's 5,000 meters at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field. Kurgat ran a collegiate-leading 15:20.06, just off her indoor personal-best 15:19.03 from December, and Kelati produced a personal-best 15:22.71 to elevate to the No. 3 collegiate performer this season.
