LaMichael James vs. James Rodgers: A Civil War showdown at 60 meters

In early December when the whole state of Oregon was abuzz over its annual college football rivalry game, it was fashionable to compare the prolific running backs from Oregon (LaMichael James) and Oregon State (Jacquizz Rodgers).

Oregon beat Oregon State in an epic Civil War game and advanced to the Rose Bowl.

On Saturday, football fans from both teams may be interested in the results of an indoor track meet in Seattle. LaMichael James will run the 60 meters for Oregon, and is on the start list for the fifth of 12 heats of the event.

Jacquizz Rodgers’ older brother, James, is part of a group of male Oregon State athletes that will compete at a track meet for the first time since 1988. Rodgers is one of five who will make the trip for the Beavers. Marcus Wheaton, originally named as a participant, has a scheduling conflict and won’t be there.
