Bolles claimed a third consecutive girls team title and Creekside captured the school's first on a shining occasion for local runners in Saturday's FHSAA state cross country championships at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.

The Bulldogs and Knights showed the resolve to fight through the competition and the unseasonable chill in Tallahassee, with temperatures recorded in the upper 30s on the course at the day's start.

Bolles sealed a ninth team title to move one behind Tampa Plant's all-time record of 10.
