The Falmouth Road Race, one of the great classic races of the USA summer racing season, is holding
an essay contest which will award the winner an all expense-paid trip to this year's race on
August 10.

"Are you a runner who has, or has overcome, a life-altering disability or illness?," read a press
release sent to the media yesterday. "Do you know any friends, family members or co-workers who
have personal stories of courage and determination in the face of adversity? CIGNA is sponsoring
the 2008 CIGNA Falmouth Road Race Challenge, which invites individuals to share their personal
stories of triumph and why they want to race in Falmouth."

The contest is open to U.S. residents 18 years of age or older. Contest details, official rules,
and entry forms are available at http://www.cigna.com/falmouthroadrace. Entry deadline is Friday,
Feb. 29, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Hugging the rugged Cape Cod coastline from Woods Hole to Falmouth, the 7-mile race offers
beautiful views of Nantucket Sound. Crowds along the course are thick in many spots, especially in the
final half-mile which incorporates "Little Heartbreak Hill," named after its big brother at the
Boston Marathon. It's definitely a race worth running, no matter what a runner's abilities.
