More and more meet directors are starting to use the RunnerSpace event management platform to host their official meet websites. We now host several of the best events in the country at any level. In 2011 our number of live events grew leaps and bounds as we hosted live coverage of road racing, track and cross country. From track meets with thousands of high schoolers to elite professional road races with dozens of competitors, races were available for viewers to watch live and then later on demand.

We also had thousands of fan sites for events like the IAAF World Championships populated with videos, photos, news, and results to make quick and convenient one-stop shopping for anyone looking to check out the latest on a particular event.

Here are our top events of the year!

Nike Track Nationals

In late June, the best US high school teams gathered at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon to determine who was the best. Teams competed decathlon style to see who could put together the 10 best event scores. Fans both packed in the stands and watching live on the official site right here on RunnerSpace, NikeTrackNationals.com, were treated to top notch racing as the athletes competed to their utmost in order to score as many points as possible for their team. At the end of the day the boys of Loyola TC and the girls of Chandler TC were declared national champions.

USA Indoor, Outdoor & XC Championships

Through a partnership with USA Track & Field we were able to bring you live coverage of the USA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field and Cross Country Championships this year. From Jillian Camarena-Williams's American record indoor shot put toss in Albuquerque to Jesse Willams's record setting leap in Eugene, you were able to see all the action that wasn't broadcast on TV.

Nike Cross Nationals

For the eigth year now harriers have converged upon Portland Meadows to battle in the mud to lay claim as the best high school xc runners in the US. Viewers at NikeCrossNationals.com we're able to watch the races from multiple camera positions from within the race and catch up on athletes with hundreds of pre and post race interviews.

New Balance Nationals

High School national records fell like rain drops from the sky at New Balance Nationals indoor and outdoor meets this year. Lukas Verzbicas assaulted the indoor 5000 record at New Balance Indoor while Harvard-Westlake dismantled the girls outdoor DMR record and the Long Beach Poly Boys became the first team under 7:30 in the 4x8. OFSAA Track and XC Championships

For three days in June we brought live track and field to the province of Ontario with the OFSAA Track Championships held in Sudbury. The second largest scholastic track championships in North America provided a preview of World Youth Championship medalists. We ventured back to Canada in the fall to broadcast the OFSAA XC Championships live for the second straight year.

Prefontaine Classic

The premier track and field event in the United States every year plays host to one of two Diamond League events right here in our home of Eugene, Oregon. This year's Pre Classic included a special Distance Night in Eugene featuring a world class 10,000 won by Mo Farah in a European Record, 26:46, while Saturday's regular meet hosted it's usual cadre of US and World #1 performances. Nike Oregon-Washington Borderclash

Now in its 13th year, the Borderclash has become an end of season rite of passage for Oregon and Washington harriers. With a cannon start and helicopter aerial coverage no detail is left behind for this one of a kind event.
