Ramsay runs with the best of the best

SUDBURY -- Carly Ramsay was really excited for her first trip to an Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association event when she competed at the track and field championships last week in Sudbury.

Especially considering it wasn't the first time she had qualified for an OFSAA championship. Ramsay, who lives in Port Hope and attends Trinity College School there, qualified for the provincial event for cross country in the fall, but she couldn't go.

"It was a huge disappointment," she said.

That said, it was an easy decision not to go. A figure skating event -- sectionals, which is a provincial qualifier -- took precedence. That is, after all, the accomplished provincial level figure skater's main sport.
