You could say athletic success runs in the McBride family, but it might be more appropriate to say it jumps.
Earlier this month, Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School (BMLSS) Grade 9 student Elizabeth McBride earned a silver medal in high jump at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championships in Sudbury.
“I was ecstatic,” said the 14-year-old. “OFSAA was a little bit overwhelming, but it was a lot of fun.”
She was accompanied to the event by track coach Kristy Mulligan, and fellow athletes Natalia Hawthorn and Abby Wood.
