High jumper strikes silver at OFSAA

You could say athletic success runs in the McBride family, but it might be more appropriate to say it jumps.
Earlier this month, Brace­bridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School (BMLSS) Grade 9 student Elizabeth McBride earned a silver medal in high jump at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championships in Sudbury.
“I was ecstatic,” said the 14-year-old. “OFSAA was a little bit overwhelming, but it was a lot of fun.”
She was accompanied to the event by track coach Kristy Mulligan, and fellow athletes Natalia Hawthorn and Abby Wood.
