Dear Cross Country Coaches,

I am sorry to inform you that the 18th Annual Northwest Cross Country Classic hosted by Lane Community College, and scheduled for September 25th, 2010, has been canceled. The decision to cancel has to do with an unforeseen construction delay to our new track and soccer complex. Construction was suppose to begin May 17th, but instead began on July 1st.  After reviewing the updated construction schedule, it is very likely that the facility will still be under construction come late September.  I was hopeful to re-route the course, but there are just too many unknowns at this time.

It is an exciting time at Lane!  We are getting a brand new IAAF track and field facility with the Beynon 2000 track surface.  See a diagram at www.runnerspace.com/lane

The soccer team is also getting a new turf field and are relocating behind the baseball fence, closer to 30th Ave.

The OSAA traditional state cross country meet course will be ready to go come this November.
