Aragon, Morley unstoppable in Montana
State Meet Highlights Top Performances:
Top Teams:
Top Competition: Christina Aragon and Carly Smiedala of Helena – both of the sophomores – had compelling races in the 400 and 800. Aragon ultimately pulled them both out, but the 400 came down to inches, 56.72 to 56.74. And in the 800, Aragon ran 2:11.64 for a stadium record in Great Falls, while Smiedala ran 2:12.28. The best thing about this matchup is that it has two more years to get even better. Record-breaker: Morley and Aragon went on to break all-time state marks outside of Montana at lower elevations, but Big Sky's record in the 4x100 relay was the most significant at the state championship meet. Ana Jarrett and Hannah Porch, two of the main cogs in the relay, were third and fourth in the 100 meters final.
