Top Teams:

The Bryan Station girls scored 65 points to retain the Class 3A team championship. They were eight points up on North Hardin. On the boys side, Henry Clay had a special team that scored 93 points for a huge win. In Class 2A, the North Oldham girls retained their title and the Paducah Tilghman edged Highlands by a point; both winning teams won the 4x400 relay. In Class 1A, it was the St. Henry District girls holding on against Murray 91-90 and Bishop Bossart boys winning the hardware. Again, both teams clinched with 4x400 relay wins.

Top Competition: The 3A boys 100 meters was a barn-burner with the top four finishers all within a tenth of a second. That group included two brothers. Austin Hayes of South Laurel leaned for the win in 10.76 seconds. Right with him was William Allen of Paul Dunbar (second in 10.77), Davonte Robinson of Henry Clay (third in 10.82) and DeQuan Robinson of Henry Clay (fourth in 10.86).

Record-breaker: William Allen went on from the state meet to lower his all-time Kentucky best in the 400 meters to 46.77 at U.S. Juniors, where he finished fourth.
