JACKSONVILLE — Hillsborough 150-pound junior Jeremiah Green exited the University of North Florida campus Friday evening weighing about 160.

Accounting for the added pounds: three medals around his neck and a chip on his shoulder.

Shortly after scratching three consecutive times in the long jump, where he still managed a medal-winning sixth-place finish, Green channeled his chagrin into his specialty event.
