The senior earned her third trip to the Class 4A state track and field meet Saturday after winning her first regional title when she cleared 5 feet, 4 inches in the high jump at the Region 1-4A meet Thursday in Palm Coast.

So you got 5-6 last year but are just now getting 5-4. What's going on?

"I think it was mostly mental. It was more challenging practices that got me there."

How do you feel about your chances for 5-6 at state?

"I think they're pretty good. If I keep practicing hard I think I'll be able to accomplish that this weekend."
