At the end of the day, there are two kinds of runners in Track Town. The kind that make it to the Games, and the kind that don’t. It sounds so cut and dry, but it isn’t. A lot of times, the difference between the two is indiscernible to the naked eye. We’re operating in tenths, hundredths, thousandths, even nanos of a second here. Four years of training for one chance and you lose by a leg-hair!? It’s one of the biggest fears of these runners, and it happens every time we have the Trials in Track Town.
