Cross Country Race Ends in Rock, Paper, Scissors

DUNDAS High school cross-country runners Braden Culver and David Watson of Oakville were leading the pack, neck-and-neck as they raced down the stretch at the Christie Lake Conservation Area Tuesday.
Then, out of the blue, they both stopped and looked at each other a couple of yards from the finish line.
What followed next was a game of rock, paper, scissors to determine who would win the junior boys’ race at the Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference championships.

Well, I had to step back from this one and think for a moment. It's not like it was Ryan and Meb at the NYC Marathon doing this (not taking anything away from the two gentlemen in this race), so I see it as two kids out there having a good time. I think they picked an appropriate meet to do it at, and now they have a story to tell for years to come.

It's been quite the news story in the Hamilton area. Everyone was talking about it today!

I think it's pretty funny honestly...some good sportsmanship there too, it's not what I'd call a typical finish but these guys were aiming for a WOW factor and certainly accomplished it!

I have never seen something like that before... WOW.
To be honest, I don't know how I feel about it... Anybody else have any opinions on this?
