Meb Keflezighi Coming To Track Town For 2012 Eugene Marathon Events!

Twenty one times the United States champion, Meb Keflezighi is coming to speak at the 2012 Eugene Marathon events. "Meb" will be making several appearances during the weekend while talking about his January win at the US Olympic Marathon Trials, his career, and his attachment to Eugene.  

"He really has helped lead the resurgence of US distance running over the last decade," says Eugene Marathon Director Richard Maher. "We are so happy that Meb has decided to come join us in Eugene for the marathon weekend events."

Meb was named the top US distance runner for almost a decade by USA Track and Field. Meb won the 2009 New York Marathon and finished in the top 3 in two other years. He also was the 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist in the marathon and is the former American record holder in the 10,000 meters.
