After shattering Baylor's school record on Friday, track and field freshman Trayvon Bromell bettered his time by .01 seconds to tie a world junior record and win the 100-meter dash on Saturday at the 87th-annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Brommell also ran a faster time than the 10.01 junior record as a high-schooler. Wind-aided times are not ratified as world records. It's basically a moot point.

Not to nitpick but at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton 19 year-old British sprinter Mark Lewis Francis ran under 10 seconds, a 9.97 if I am correct, in the semi-finals but it was not ratified because the wind gauge was faulty. But still an excellent showing Mr. Bromell. Congradulations!
